iPhone X and Face ID Setup Issues

I received my phone on 11/14/17 from Fed-Ex through AT&T. I set it up as a new phone originally, did not restore it from a back-up and was able to set up FaceID through the setup process. Once I updated my phone to the newest version of iOS (Beta Program through AppleSeed) I was no longer able to setup FaceID as it ask you to go through the FaceID setup again. I place my face in the frame for FaceID and receive the following messages, raise iPhone higher, lower iphone, bring face 10-20 inches. I'm currently on iOS 11.2 15C114 and still unable to setup FaceID. It's not to big of a deal as I can just use pin but would be nice to have FaceID as it was a feature I was interested in.
