Confused about apple music subscribtion.

So, after my free trial ran out, I decided to get one more month in for 10 bucks, which was supposed to end on December 5th. On the 6th, I still had access to all of my music, so I checked my ID, and it SAID that it HAD expired, and if I wanted to renew my membership, just get a plan. Heres the thing, though, I still have access to downloading, and listening to all of my music, and its been 3 days since the expiration date. I'm so confused. It says its over, AND I only have 1.69 in my account, which is NOT being used via debit. How can they charge me if I barely have anything left? Why am I still able to have my music?
