Verification code

Whenever I try to download an app it requires a verification code that is sent to a phone number that is not mine nor am I familiar with. My settings don’t allow me to turn off two factor authorization and I don’t know how to get rid of the random phone number that my verification codes are going to.

In order to review the phone numbers on your iCloud account:

Settings>Your Name>Name, Phone Numbers, and Email>Edit

From here, remove the unknown phone number and add your own.

To disable two factor authentication:

appleid.apple.com>Login>Security>Disable Two Factor Authentication
