Since buying a Canon 7260 Printer, I have been unable to open the on-screen manual. Canon have endeavoured to assist with multiple downloads, and although it will open in Snow Leopard, OS12 does not recognise it. Canon now say it must be a problem with the OS and I should look to Apple for the answer. The file is mem_-mac-ip7200-1_40-mcd.mpkg. Any ideas please?

Thank you for those suggestions. As I have already used up most of my data allowance attempting to download files from Canon to no avail, I will defer further efforts for a while.
I did find that when trying to open the file with Installer, it was rep[orted that the file was damaged and should be trashed. But it opens with no trouble in Snow leopard.
After one more try, the Installer app decided it was OK to proceed, so now everything is alright.
If you control - click the file, do you get an option to open it?
