Apple TV

Whenever I want to hire a movie now it asks me to sign in with iTunes id and password , which I do. It then sends a verification code to my phone to enter , which I do but then it goes straight back to asking for my iTunes id again and it makes me go through the process again. I have unplugged everything, reset the Apple TV but still the same. Can anyone help ?
