Choosing right monitor for MacBook Pro Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014

Hello,

I hope i opened this threat to the right category. I would like to thank you for your time and kind responses.

I have MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014). I am looking for a 27" monitor. I would like to buy best monitor which i could use with no problem. Maybe i could change my mbp in future. I will not use monitor for graphic purposes like photo/video editing or something like that.

When i check apple's technical specs page i see these lines:

Graphics and Video support

  • Intel Iris Graphics
  • Dual display and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on up to two external displays, both at millions of colors
  • Thunderbolt digital video output
    • Native Mini DisplayPort output
    • DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter (sold separately)
    • VGA output using Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter (sold separately)
    • Dual-link DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter (sold separately)
  • HDMI video output
    • Support for 1080p resolution at up to 60Hz
    • Support for 3840-by-2160 resolution at 30Hz
    • Support for 4096-by-2160 resolution at 24Hz

Any monitor suggestion/setup would be awesome. I didn't get clear answers from apple support, so i would like to ask that to community. Which output should i use (thunderbolt 2 or HDMI, which one is better?), should i buy some kind of adaptor? Detailed setup suggestions would be awesome. Like "you could buy Dell U2718Q monitor and buy xxx adapter" etc.

Monitors with VESA support, 24"/27" and adjustable height would be awesome.

All my best

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)
