I have been using hardshell case for my MacBook Pro and I notice it’s now heavier (noticably) as I use the hardshell. I’m thinking to take it off. is that okay?

Is that ok to use MBP 2017 with no hardshell case?

The case I got is a Speck (my MBP is a mid 2012) - that case fits well; the first one I got (a "nameless" one) did not fit that well. With the new one, I have no problem accessing any of the ports. And, yes, it makes it heavier - that needs to be your decision. In my case it does not matter since my MBP never leaves the desk as it's hooked up to an external larger monitor.
