Apple TV Remote with Amazon Prime Video APP

I downloaded the new Prime Video APP to my 4th Gen Apple TV. Was able to sign-in to my Amazon Prime account. However, my remote won't navigate the Prime Video App (navigates the apps OK). Also tried to navigate using the Apple TV Remote app on my iPhone 7+...same problem. Has anyone else encounter this problem or have a suggestion of what could be wrong? Running latest software 11.1 on Apple TV. Also tried disconnecting from power and restarting but no fix?
