quicktype not working on safari or other apps

Why does the default keyboard not work as it should on all apps. Mainly quicktype. It's fast, simple, and clean. Better than swipe. But only works on messenger and facebook apps. Other than that it reverts to the standard no predictive typing on safari,maps,youtube and etc. No gray bar that predicts your words?
