When I restart my Mac I often find this window (titles Window) opens up - what is it? is it a problem? and how do I get rid of it in the future?

MacBook Air, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

Go step by step and test.


1. Try startup in Safe Mode.


Start up in Safe Mode. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Once in Safe Mode, click the “Restart” button at the bottom.


2. Reset NVRAM/PRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH18761


3. Remove login items and test. https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25590?locale=en_US


4. Backup and reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery.
