Sent Message sound gone

Since updating my iPad Pro to 11.2, the sound that plays when a message (not an email) is sent is gone. I've tried toggling sounds on/off and doing a hard reboot of the iPad, but still no sound. Thinking that a reset/restore is the only thing left to try but wanted to see if there were any other ideas. Thanks!
