iOS 11.1.2 won’t allow sound from the iDevice.

Hey. In the new update iOS 11.1.2 my phone won’t play music. Somehow my iDevice believes it is connected to a headphone or speaker. When i do connect a speaker the sound works completely fine, but whenever i turn on and off the alerts and phone sounds it keep saying headphone on/off. Can someone please assist or can Apple realease a bug fix update. I’ve tried resetting and turned it on and off so don’t waste my time with ******** saying i have to do that. All indicates that it is a software issue.
