AirPort Extreme Base Station & Hard Drive

I have a AirPort Extreme Base Station and would like to know if it will support a USB hard drive for back up and the new ITV or will I need to purchase the new square AirPort Extreme Base Station.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

You would need to purchase the new square AirPort Extreme Base Station.

There are other NAS options available.

NAS == Network attached storage

Hard drives equipped with an Ethernet port.
