When using an Qi certified charger, is there a safety measure that prevents the battery from overcharge?

When using an Qi certified charger, is there a safety measure that prevents the battery from overcharge? Assuming that the charger will keep the magnetic induction on. Because, as far as I know, the iPhone can't communicate to all chargers that is fully charged.

For example, with my iPhone X and the samsung EP-PN920 charger, the light on the charger never turns green (indicating a full charge), even when the iPhone has been fully charged for hours.

Your iPhone has built in circuitry to prevent overcharging. Once the phone receives a full charge it simply stops accepting a charge. Most of the aftermarket QI chargers don't seem to display when the phone is fully charged, so don't worry about it. Your phone knows when it's fully charged.
