Google Calendar App Keeps Automatically Deleting

I recently activated the feature of iOS that automatically deletes infrequently used apps but keeps documents and data and the icons on the home screen so that they can be re-downloaded. However, although I use the Google Calendar app rather frequently, iOS keeps deleting it, and when I redownload it, I find it deleted a couple of hours later. Does anyone know of a work around? I
