I switched from a 6s to a X. On the 6s I had the photo library switched on. But I don't need that anymore. So I switched it off in iCloud but the whole cloud is still there. Some visible photos and some greyed out. What to do?

As long as you have iCloud syncing turned off, delete them from the Photos app.

If you don't wish to store your photos in iCloud, then I suggest saving them to an external hard drive, then delete them from iCloud, and turn it off.
I dont want to delete my iCloud photos. Only from iPhone.
