This is a recent issue.
To resolve, update to 11.2 (preferably via iTunes)
It might work if you hold the power button and the volume button down at the same time, sometimes that works better.
My iPad Pro keeps going to a black screen and then a loading symbol appears and then goes to home screen? Can anyone help? It will be a year old 28th December
