According to iTunes 12.7.2 download page titled by "A world of entertainment, just a download away." OS X 10.10.x or later is needed to install. Mac here runs under 10.12 control. iTunes 12.6.1.25 is installed and still in use here.
However if to follow from iTunes Check for Updates... which is redirecting to App Store no slightest reaction shown by App Store. What's the ****? Logged to App Store with Apple ID.
Thanks for information. It's just the same page as those referred by myself. From your answer me concludes right is not App Store here stressing no iTunes update possible (available) but the download page. Right conclusion?
I don't really understand your question. "Known issue"?? What issue - other than the fact you personally cannot download it? I've had and used iTunes 12.7.2 for four days now - since it was released.
You have discovered you personally cannot update iTunes on this computer. You have tried multiple methods, all of which failed.
Apple's statements do not deviate. The only deviation occurs when a general statement ("iTunes 12.7.2 is available") is applied specifically to your particular computer ("iTunes 12.7.2 is not available.).
There must be a reason.
I did not say any single time all three failed in my case. To download will probably work well, however me does not do it as it is not the objective to have it downloaded and installed. Objective is to understand discrepancy and its background. Yes the original objective was to have newer iTunes version, but in scope of this discussion it evolved to question of understanding current situation. And the discrepancy is there, discrepancy as described previously. Nobody can say if iTunes itself fails on it or not as iTunes needs App Store or a download be done by other means, iTunes does not show the capability to do downloads. So it is wrong statement "all three methods failed".
