iOS 11.2. Plenty of PDF documents saved to iBooks app by user in the past. These were created by sending contents from other apps by sharing /exporting/importing to iBooks. How to backup them now? Backing up to iCloud refrained as it shows severe drawbacks. iTunes shall come to use for mentioned backup.

Backing up iPhone to iCloude had made once. The results was just a mess - data on backup source (iPhone) was changed in irreversible way - a no-go for backup solution. That's the reason why me refrains from using iCloud.

Any idea how to backup PDF from iBooks on iOS 11.2 to iTunes on desktop machine? Or by other means but not iCloud as that disqualified by itself some time ago.
