I understand your Mac Mini doesn't recognize your iPhone after updating to iTunes 12.7.2. What version of the iOS is your iPhone running? If you haven't done so yet, I would suggest updating your iPhone via iCloud to the latest iOS and then restarting the iPhone and the Mac.
