My iMessage, WhatsApp, and regular text messages are all popping up on a friend’s computer despite signing out of all devices, limiting Apple ID to just my cellphone, enabling two way authentication, etc.

Please help!

Whatsapp - You authorized a whatsapp app on the computer. Open the Whatsapp app on your phone, tap Settings, tap Whatsapp Web/Desktop, tap Log out from all computers.

Messages - Go to Settings/Messages. Tap Text Message Forwarding and turn off all devices. This should stop both iMessage and SMS.

Ya I don’t have that option. I googled and it seems that option only shows up if another iOS device is set up on the same WiFi network.

I’ve taken the laptop to the Apple store and they recommended signing out etc of the Apple account and it’s still ongoing.

You need to have the friend sign out of your Apple ID. Or change the password of your Apple ID.

Thanks Lawrence. In settings/messages, I don’t see forwarding. I only see “send & receive”, which I just have my actual phone number selected. I’m pretty sure I have the latest OS.
