Conversion from MP3 192 kbps to AAC 320 kbps

#10

Hi,

Can someone please let me know that when i convert MP3 192 kbps file to AAC 320kbps, does it actually become better quality and become 320kbps or not? Because when I listen to the same song in MP3 192 kbps and AAC 320kbps, they sound exactly the same. I am just worried that if i play in front of a big crowd the sound won't distort as the original quality was MP3 192 kbps.

so how do I convert low KBPS files into 320kbs sign quality files?

You can't.

If you need the quality of a 320Kbps file, then you need to buy the music in that format.* You cannot increase the quality of a file and as stated, every conversion has the potential to reduce quality, not increase it.

* edit (after initial post): or ripping from a CD, that needs to be done as 320Kbps.
