Apple Pay Notification

I recently used Apple Pay on my iPhone to make a purchase at Whole Foods. But when I received the notification, while the amount was correct, the merchant showed up as Bed Bath and Beyond. Needless to say, that's a bit disturbing. How does something like that happen?
