can I use high Sierra on my 2013 iMac with a sata drive?

I thought I heard that High Sierra is only compatible with solid state drives. I have a sata/non ssd. Will High Sierra work on it?

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

High Sierra works fine. It's the new APFS file system that isn't entirely advisable on a rotational hard drive. Don't worry about it. A rotational hard drive will not be automagically converted to APFS when installing HS. Only compatible SSDs will be converted automatically. HS runs just fine on my 2011 iMac with a rotational drive. If Sierra is running well, HS should present no problems so long as you don't have any 3rd party applications that have compatibility problems with it.
