iMac 2013 as an monitor to a PC.

Hi all.

I have read up about many similar cases with the 2013 gen iMacs and Target Display Mode. However I would still like to attempt to run my PC on an iMac display. My idea is to have an HDMI to USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) adaptor running from the PC Graphics card then attach a USB-C (TB3) to TB1/2 to it, which will then go into the iMac. Has anybody tried such a workaround or something similar?

A diagram of my idea. xD

PC > HDMI - USB-C adaptor > USB-C - Thunderbolt 1/2 adaptor > iMac

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), macOS High Sierra (10.13)
