old notification stuck on screen and i can't press anything.

I have an Iphone 8, i tried to force restart it by holding volume and the power button. But i can't because the notification is in the way and I can't move it. I tried to connect my phone to Itunes, but I have to log into my phone with my passcode.. but I can't because like i said.. my screen is frozen. Should i just let my phone die?
