When I’m playing music (from multiple sources, I checked that it wasn’t a single app), when I change active apps sometimes the bottom speakers on my phone stop playback but the top continue. When I go back to other apps the bottom speakers resume again.

The iPhone 8 and 8 plus only have one speaker along the bottom of the device.

There is ONE speaker on the bottom. There are NOT 'left and right' speakers on the bottom. LOOK at the diagram that was posted.
