my iphone has transposed icons

Why does my phone have double images?

( iPhone 5s iOS 11.2 )

At the very top of the screen my iPhone has the bars, AT&T, WiFi icon, etc with an overlain image for LTE screen images. I placed a solo app on a screen & I get that icon but it’s over images of a previous screen.

Is there a bug? I update with hopes it has the fix, nothing to date.
