If you don't have wifi at home have a look at a Netgear aircard 785 on EBAY
Portable wifi modem Router.

If you have a friend nearby who has a smart phone capable of providing
a 'Wi-Fi Hotspot' your iPhone may be able to recognize & use it as such.
The friend's phone would need to use it's cellular data plan, to work.
In iOS settings, you should be able to see & select optional networks.
