How to sync Favourites locations across devices on Apple Map?

Hi all appreciate your wisdom - I have my Mac, iPhone and iPad using the latest OS and iOS respectively. I used to be able to have all favourites on Apple Map synced in all devices but it seems that since the later iOS (maybe since iOS 10 or so?) this is not happening for me. i hope there is a way to fix that?

FYI:

All devices signed in the same apple ID

The synced worked perfectly fine before but for some reasons its not anymore.

Actually I have noticed the issue though I don't use Apple Maps much, i.e. favorites saved on iPhone (with latest iOS) will not show on favorites on Maps on MacBook Pro; then again, I don't use Apple Maps that much.

Yes, and vice versa i.e. locations saved on MacBook/ipad don't show on iPhone. I use it a lot for driving and before going to places i tend to browse on MacBook to plan my trips. if you know of a way to sync these or know of someone who can help it would be much appreciated!
