Since updating recently to High Sierra I am getting the following message when I click on the app icon: You can't open app because it is damaged or incomplete. The icons keep changing from the specific ones to a generic one also. What's going on?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
