Mac G3 running 8.6

Can someone please tell me if I can connect my Mac to my wireless router using the Ethernet port.

I think I’m making progress but it now tells me.......Security failure.The server reply is invalid.

Internet Explorer 4.5

I’ll try leaving the Client field blank and restarting my computer and dsl modem.

I did get Google to load but when I try to sign in I get a message.

Security Alert. Unable to make a secure connection.

So does this mean my computer cannot used to access today’s internet at all? That’s a bummer.

Yes, unfortunately, web browsers capable of running under Mac OS 8.6 do have a very limited usefulness on today's Internet.

How about 9.1? I have a G3 iMac that has this operating system.

You just need to plug it in. I did this on OS9 and it worked, but I haven't used OS8. If it's any different, correct me.
