It may be a coincidence

but since I updated to High sierra, the volume tab on keyboard now is sliding the screen to this as shownand not turning up the volume. Any idea what is happening here?

mac 0sx 10.4.11, Mac OS X (10.6.7), i mac

That is what I answered: you can change the whole row as I explained:

""Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys"
