Wouldn't it be nice if, instead of having to select each individual mail already in the Junkmail folder and THEN delete them, there was an option to simply "Delete All"?
This option is there in e.g. the Trash folder.
Sees like forcing me to select each Junkmail gets things backwards -- shouldn't the option to select the Junkmail item(s) you actually want to KEEP?

Interesting comment -- it hadn't occurred to me that behavior of the Mail app might be dependent on who provides my email service.
I have a Gmail account, not set up on the phone; maybe I'll set up a Gmail account and see if that changes anything. Interesting...
On my iP7, running iOS 11.2, I can do that. I can open the junkmail folder, tap on edit, then delete all (bottom right).
My mail provider is gmail.com
