IPad Control Panel, position is shifted left of center, how do I correct it?

The Control panel on our iPad Pro using iOS 11.2 (when in horizontal - Home button on right) is shifted left of center; it is too high (about 1/3 up from bottom of the screen when in Portrait position - Home button on bottom). This means half the time I can’t see the App on the left most positio on the Control Panel.

How do I correct this?

Have you tried to force a reboot? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. WHen you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and see if things move back where they should be
