I lost pictures from new I phone X

I just got my new I-Phone X and before I backed up my old 6s I used my IPhone X and took some pictures and after i finished backing up my old phone in to my X all the pictures i had in it disappeared, is there a way I can get them back?

iPhone X, iOS 11.2

No. Restoring the backup of your old phone to the new one effectively erased everything from the new one and replaced it with what was in the backup.
