How do I open Notes to the notes list instead of the folders list?

Every time I open Notes, it opens to the Folders list that just includes "iCloud" and "On my iPhone". This is utterly useless because what I really need to do is get to the notes as fast as possible and the current flow creates the need for an extra tap and load that is helpful exactly 0% of the time.

Is there a way to change this?
