Why do all my messages have the same date after transferring via Move to iOS?

I used Move to iOS as suggested when moving from my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to iPhone X. Afterwards I noticed all my messages were out of their original order and all the messages had the same date and time. To make this even more annoying the dates on all those messages gets changed to the last reboot or update time. I have trouble finding recent message threads and need to use the search function way more than I'd like. And I can't find a good way to delete all these old messaged, or delete entire message threads I don't want to keep. I wish I had never heard of Move to iOS. Can anyone help?

Same question here, I came from Galaxy S4 moving to iPhone 6S. I ran the whole copying process twice by re-resetting my iPhone but that didn't help. All messages carry the same timestamp and are shown in the opposite conversation order (oldest messages first). Here's my thread: Move to iOS - Messages lost timestamps

Just in case anyone has the same issue: I solved it by ending all my apps on Android and restarting the phone - also did the same on the iPhone and then restarted the process. I juxtapose the phones on a table, disconnected them from mobile data and didn't touch anything during the transfer. Somehow that did the trick.
