Macbook Air 2015 Screen Display sometimes Work

My 2015 Macbook Air backlight has recently stopped working consistently, but works 50% of the time. I’m wondering if this means getting a completely new LCD but that has been estimated to be around $500, which is about half the cost of a new laptop anyway. When the screen doesn’t work, there’s always a flash of the main screen then it goes dark. Could that be a pinched wire? Also, I think when I open the laptop to a certain angle, it usually works. I’m thinking because it does function some of the time, it can’t be completely unfixable. I’m moving to Norway in a month, so I also want to get this taken care of quickly.
