Comcast does not support Apple's SMTP server

Hello,

Having trouble sending any email via SMTP during this weekend. All inquiries were directed to India. What a f... is going on? Should we hire USA based companies to prrovide USA based services, not the f... useless f...?

SMTP information for the outgoing mail server

Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
If you see an error message when using SSL, try using TLS or STARTTLS instead.
Port: 587
SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker@icloud.com, not emilyparker)
Password: Use the app-specific password that you generated when you set up the incoming mail server.

you can check your firewall and your router if they allowed port 587 otherwise you need to get your isp to test in their end

Thanks for that. Created iCloud account some time ago. This is the only internet account I have now. I removed other accounts that facilitated sending messages from Apple desktop Mail program. After the accounts were deleted, Mail program stopped sending messages.

Comcast email works perfectly with all 3 of the available protocols.

What settings did you use?
