Do apple watch apps need to be on iphone also?
If I wanted an app on my apple watch (e.g national rail) would I also need to have the national rail app on my phone or can I just have it on my watch?
That is going to be dependant on the specific App. Some Watch apps may require a companion App on the iPhone, others might not.
The National Rail app appears to require the iPhone App be present on the paired iPhone to sync with it.
