Downloaded the High Sierra update, everything got deleted…my files and programs. Please help!!
Did you do backup before the upgrade?

If I didn’t, would I be able to get it back?
If it isn't backed up your chances of restoring the data is is extremely poor.
Any purchased apps can be downloaded again.
Why would my all my programs and apps be deleted?
There're a bunch of reason why data can be lost during a operating system upgrade hence the reason a backup is always recommended.
