How to change iTunes playlist artwork

Some of my playlists are headed by a mosaic of four album covers. Some are not. E.g.:

Instead of the typical mosaic, this one has a musical note. How do I force this playlist to adopt a mosaic? Yes, I have trashed the Album Artwork cache folder. And no, I don't want to select a custom cover.
