iPhone X and Scosche magnetic mount - do they work together?

iPhone mount for windshield - Scosche Magnetic Dash/Window Mount MAGWSM2

Concern: I'd like to be able to slide the Scosche metal plate between the iPhone X glass back-side and my Otter Box Defender case so that my iPhone can be safely attached to the windshield magnetic mount for easy reading using Maps.

As the new iPhone X is front and back-side glass, I am concerned that the Scosche metal plate will degrade the iPhone AT&T radio signal. Will the metal plate couple with the RF fields of the iPhone internal antenna and result in reduced or degraded signal quality.

Does that make sense?
