iPhone heats up

Hello I just got my iPhone X last week and I notice it gets incredibly hot even when I’m no longer using it to the point that I can’t even hold it in my hand because it burns to hold it for more than a few seconds. What can I do to fix this issue

Go to Settings > Battery and check what is using the most energy.

Report it back here.

Also you might want to consider making an appointment at an Apple Store to get it looked at, that's not normal or healthy for the phone.

Hi

Make an appointment at Apple store return iPhone for exchange.

Don't leave on charge unattended.

You may have a battery fault.

If it wasn't apple store return to place of purchase.
