App Update failure on iPhone7 iOs11

When new updates for apps are available, and I select update (one at a time or "update all"), I often experience, that the update won't begin. I have tried to close down the app, and reopen it, but no mater what I do the update will not start.

The only way to solve this is to shut down the phone, and turn it on again. Then the update begins to run.

What to do?
