have Just purchased first Apple device. Have all Samsung. Noticed no back and forward arrow keys as well as no DEL key. Are they hidden somewhere because these are 3 must have keys. With my iPad Pro 12.9β 2nd gen 2017 I cannot find them at all. if Not where can I find the feedback screen to request them in an update.

There have never been any cursor/arrow keys on the virtual iOS keyboards of any iDevices, but should have a delete key, though.
On the 12.9 inch iPad Pro, the Delete Key should be to the upper right keyboard area.
If you do not like the current iOS/iOS 11 keyboard layout, there a third party virtual software keyboards you can install instead.
If you want cursor keys and easier access to other symbol keys, as well
The one third party software keyboard app I use on all my iPads is called PadKeys.

Touch and hold the text to show the magnifying glass, then drag to position the insertion point.
The delete to the left is the X key (on the right above the Return key)

Thanks for this info MichaelM. Will have a look at it. But you know what paying $1400AU dollars for an iPad one would expect it to have all these keys on it afterall, normal keyboards you buy have those keys as well. I have sent feedback to Apple so one day they may improve this keyboard and put all the keys on it. One can only hope. I do like the size of it though. Many thanks again.

Apple looks at iDevices as touch devices only.
In the 10 years of iOS there have been no cursor/navigation keys on iDevice virtual keyboards, NO support for trackpads or mice.
Only iPad Pro models support an Apple designed stylus for alternative input.
Still NO REAL file system access on iOS 11.
So, I wouldn't hold my breath for any of these features to just magically appear, anytime soon.

thanks again for that. Will give up trying and just install that keyboard you suggested. I have to say though I do prefer my Samsung tablets over IPad all round, not just the keyboard. Bad luck for Apple though because I was going to buy their latest iPhone as well.

Guess what. Installed the keyboard and love it. Changed the colour but you know what I can't get the caps lock to stay on and all it does is lets me type one capital letter and have to keep using the shift key to type each individual capitol key. Whoa is me.
Any help would be appreciated.

Double tap the shift key to set the shift lock.
A lock symbol will appear on the shift key when you lock it!
