How can I update the JVM ?

on OS X 10.13.1 how can I update the JVM to version 1.8 ? The current OS JVM version is 1.6

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Go to the Oracle website and download the desired JDK.

If you only want the Web Applet JRE, you can get that at Java.com.
