icloud activation lock help

I was given an iPhone 6 form a charity foundation. UK iPhone 6 Shipped to Nigeria

and its stock on icloud activation lock, please I was advised to contact apple customer care for them to contact the owner of the synced account so he could free the iPhone from his icloud account.

Apple will not put you in contact with the previous owner (privacy laws) even were it technically possible for them to so: and neither can they unlock it for you. Without access to the previous owner you will never be able to use the phone - there is absolutely no way round that (ignore websites which claim to do it for a fee, these are scams).
