User Tip: How to get Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.2 to show up in App Store Updates after failed update!

It seems that the Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.2 update is giving a fair bit of headaches around...

If you've failed to install the 10.13.2 and after (booting out from the update drive) rebooting on the normal Mac Drive you're still on 10.13.1 and can't see the update available in the App Store Updates try the following hack:

  • Go to App Store Featured
  • Search for Mac OS High Sierra Download
  • Select download but do not download it
  • It will tells you that you're already on Mac OS High Sierra and to do an update through the App Store Updates
  • Select the above option given or
  • Go to App Store Updates do a refresh and it should appear as Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.2 update available

Good luck...

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), macOS High Sierra (10.13.1), SSD-1TB-i7-2.9GHz-16GB-1600Mhz-DDR3

Really, easier still is to go to Apple Support Download pages and download the 10.13.2 update or download the 10.13.2 Combo update. Apple - Support - Downloads once downloaded double-click to install.
